PLAIN-LANGUAGE POLICY
Terms of Use
The straightforward rules for setting up and using a Lernok account.
THE SHORT VERSION
Lernok is a learning app for children. Accounts start with limited free access, and full access is paid annually.
A parent or guardian has to agree to these terms, set the account up, and choose any paid access on the learner’s behalf.
Use it to learn. Don’t try to break it, and don’t copy the course material out of it. We may change or pause the service as we keep improving it.
You can delete the account and everything in it whenever you like.
Who can use Lernok
Lernok is designed for learners aged roughly 10 to 16, which means everyone using it is a minor. An account may only be created by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on the learner’s behalf and stays responsible for how the account is used.
By creating an account you confirm that you are the learner’s parent or guardian, that you have read these terms and the Privacy Policy, and that you agree to both.
The account
- One account is meant for one learner. Progress, XP, and streaks belong to that account.
- Keep the sign-in details private. If you think someone else has access, change the password or tell us.
- We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, or to protect other people.
What Lernok is — and is not
Lernok teaches AI literacy, coding, computational thinking, design thinking, entrepreneurship, and data analysis through short interactive lessons. It is a supplement to learning, not a school, a qualification, or a substitute for formal education. We do not promise any particular result, grade, or outcome.
Some lessons run real code that the learner writes, inside a sandbox in their own browser. That code is never run on our servers.
Using it fairly
Please do not:
- copy, download in bulk, republish, or resell the lessons, questions, or artwork;
- try to break, overload, probe, or get around the security of the service;
- use another person’s account, or pretend to be someone else;
- upload or type anything unlawful, hateful, or harmful into the app;
- use automated tools to scrape the content.
Who owns what
The courses, questions, interactive labs, illustrations, characters, software, and the Lernok name belong to us or our licensors. Creating an account gives the learner permission to use them personally for learning, and nothing more. That permission ends when the account does.
Anything the learner types into an answer box stays theirs. By entering it, you give us permission to store and process it so we can run the lessons, mark answers, and improve the course material.
Free limited access and paid annual access
A new account can use a limited number of lesson screens for free. After that, access to the full Lernok program requires paid annual access. Payment is handled by Razorpay or another payment provider; we do not store card, UPI, or bank details.
Paid access lasts for one year from the date it is granted, unless the checkout page says otherwise. Prices, offers, taxes, and payment methods are shown before payment and may change for future purchases. Free access will not silently turn into a charge; a parent or guardian must choose to pay.
Because Lernok is still evolving, we may add, change, or remove features, reset test or corrupted data, or pause the service. Where a change materially affects paid access, we will try to give reasonable notice.
Ending it
You can delete the account at any time from the Me tab. That removes the account and its learning data permanently and cannot be undone. We may also close accounts that break these terms, or stop offering the service entirely, in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Lernok accurate, safe, and available, but we provide it “as is”. We do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or that were caused by using Lernok in a way these terms do not allow. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be limited, and nothing excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Pune will handle any dispute — except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Changes to these terms
If we make a meaningful change, we will publish the new version here and ask a parent or guardian to agree again the next time they open Lernok. Continuing to use Lernok after that means accepting the updated terms.
